Overview

The Two River Little League (TRLL) is a nonprofit organization that provides a supervised baseball and softball program for local youth. The primary goal is to develop good character, sportsmanship, and social responsibility in children. TRLL is governed by a baseball and softball Board of Directors. The board is responsible for league management, policy execution, financial oversight, safety, scheduling, and overall compliance with Little League International regulations.

Board Responsibilities

  • Manage league property, affairs, and finances.
  • Appoint committees and additional officers as needed.
  • Set rules and regulations within the framework of the TRLL Constitution.
  • Oversee member discipline and resolve grievances.
  • Ensure equal and fair play across all teams.
  • Operate transparently and in compliance with nonprofit standards (501(c)(3)).

Officer Roles and Duties

President (2-Year Term)

  • Leads the league and ensures compliance with Little League International.
  • Presents league reports and annual budget.
  • Investigates and addresses issues affecting the league.
  • Certifies player eligibility with the Player Agent.

Vice President (2-Year Term)

  • Acts in the President’s absence.
  • Assists with league leadership as assigned.

Secretary (2-Year Term)

  • Maintains all official league records, meeting minutes, and communications.
  • Issues membership cards and manages member rolls.
  • Provides notices for meetings and elections.

Treasurer (2-Year Term)

  • Manages league finances, accounts, and budget preparation.
  • Maintains financial records and presents annual financial reports.
  • Oversees all disbursements and deposits.

Player Agent (1-Year Term)

  • Manages all player transactions and drafts.
  • Verifies player eligibility and roster compliance.
  • Oversees player pool and tournament team documentation.

Safety Officer (1-Year Term)

  • Develops and promotes safety initiatives, including but not limited to the yearly ASAP Plan
  • Facilitates training and tracks incident reports.
  • Works to ensure a safe environment for players and volunteers.
  • Managed background check compliance

Game Scheduler (2-Year Term)

  • Creates the full-season game schedule across towns.
  • Incorporates special requests.
  • Serves as the scheduling contact for Little League International.
  • Receives compensation.

Umpire Coordinator (2-Year Term)

  • Recruits, trains, and schedules umpires.
  • Works under the President’s direction to manage umpire performance.
  • Receives compensation.

League Information Officer (2-Year Term)

  • Manages the league website and online registration.
  • Coordinates communication and media, including fundraising.
  • Uploads rosters and updates news and scores.
  • Handles sponsor outreach and fundraising reporting.

Appointed Positions

In addition to the elected Board of Directors, the league may appoint individuals to key support roles. These positions are filled at the discretion of the Board and serve to enhance league operations, player development, and community engagement.

Coaching Coordinator

Oversees the recruitment, selection, and development of managers and coaches for all divisions. Organizes coaching clinics, provides training resources, and ensures that all coaches follow league policies and Little League International standards. Serves as the primary contact for coaching-related concerns and works to promote a positive learning environment for players.

All-Star Coordinator

Manages the selection process, roster submission, and logistical arrangements for all league All-Star teams. Coordinates tryouts, verifies player eligibility, and communicates with families. Works with team managers to ensure compliance with Little League tournament rules, while overseeing scheduling, uniforms, and travel arrangements for All-Star play.

League Advancement Coordinator

Promotes player development and advancement opportunities within and beyond the league. Oversees player skills assessments, higher-level play opportunities, and outreach to transitional programs such as intermediate, junior, or senior divisions. Works closely with coaches and board members to ensure players are prepared for the next level of competition.

Events Coordinator

Plans, organizes, and executes league events including Opening Day, banquets, fundraisers, and community activities. Manages event logistics, volunteer coordination, and vendor relations. Collaborates with the Marketing and Fundraising teams to maximize community participation and league visibility.
